1. I've never rented from your company before. What if I'm not satisfied with my instrument?
We want you to be happy. If for someone reason you¡¯re not satisfied with your instrument, return it to us within 14 days for a full refund.

2. What is included in my rental outfit?
In exchange for your rental and deposit fee, we will provide you a quality outfit which includes an instrument, bow, case, rosin, and a complimentary cleaning cloth.

3. What about insurance?
The rental fees listed already include a $5 insurance charge. This charge covers maintenance and repair for normal wear and tear of the instrument, string breakage during the first three months of rental, accidental damage, theft from a secure environment, and fire.

4. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, we require a $45 refundable deposit in addition to the initial three month rental fee.

5. Is it possible to apply any rental credit towards an instrument purchase?
You may apply up to two years of rental credit towards the purchase of a violin. Please note that the rental insurance charge is not counted toward your credit.

6. How will I be billed?
We have an initial 3 month rental period. Afterwards, you will be billed monthly. We feel this is the most flexible billing structure for our customers, as many of them are growing and moving through various instrument sizes.

7. How may I pay?
We accept only automatic credit card payments. You will receive emails to inform you of recent charges, and additionally, you may always check your account information online.

8. What if I break a string?
We offer something unique by including an extra set of strings with your instrument outfit. Our policy covers your strings for the first 3 months. If a string breaks afterwards, you may conveniently replace it without having to make a trip to the store. We deduct the string cost from your deposit after you return the instrument to us.

9. How do I exchange my instrument for a bigger size?
To exchange your instrument, simply return the one you have and take out a new rental. We treat each size or instrument exchange independently. You will be asked for a new deposit, and your existing deposit, minus any fees, will be returned.

10. What if my instrument needs repair?
If your instrument is in need of repair, please return the instrument to us. Your instrument will be repaired free of charge. If the repair requires more than 3 days, we will organize a replacement or loan instrument for you.

11. Why do only shipping customers receive one month of free rent?
This is our way of "paying" the shipping costs for our customers. Plus, we don't want our shipping customers to lose any days of rental during the shipping process.

12. Will I need to purchase anything else to start playing the instrument?
No. However, some accessory items you might consider would be things like a shoulder rest, chin pad, or music stand.

13. Where are your violins made?
Depending on the make, our violins are crafted in China, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan. However, the fine adjustments are made locally on the instruments to bring out their optimal sound.

14. Which areas of Chicagoland do you serve?
We serve the entirety of Chicago and it's outlying areas, including Evanston, Wilmette, Libertyville, McHenry, Woodstock, Crystal Lake, Arlington Heights, Oakbrook, Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook and Burr Ridge, just to name a few.

15. Do you ship nationally?
Yes, we do. However, we do not ship internationally.
