Ya Yin Music Company was founded in 1973 by David C. Chen (1937-2005). Today his wife Virginia carries on the business with daughter Nina Chen Sobota, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who started violin as a five year old and has enjoyed performing since.

Our business is based on teamwork. We consult regularly with highly respected, experienced professionals in the field to continually improve our instruments and services to you. We collaborate only with passionate, dedicated luthiers who pride themselves on providing you an expertly set up, quality instrument.
